ROCK HILL, SC – After coming out on the wrong end of a solid performance Saturday afternoon, the Winthrop women's basketball team returns to the hardwood Tuesday night to host the Longwood Lancers at 7 p.m.

EAGLES AT A GLANCE
Winthrop suffered a tough home loss to the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs Saturday afternoon despite a strong shooting performance. The Eagles fell by only seven points, their closest conference contest of the season.
Emily Kelley continued her hot three-point shooting, knocking down another five threes and finishing with 17 points and four rebounds.
Anika Riley was able to reach double figures for the first time in six games, finishing with 12 points.
SCOUTING LONGWOOD
Longwood comes to the Winthrop Coliseum, riding a six-game losing skid with a 1-7 Big South record and a 3-16 overall mark. The lone conference victory came at home over Presbyterian.
Senior Autumn Childress has led the team with 9.7 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest this season but has not played in the team's last two contests. The Lancers have averaged 53.7 points per game this season while allowing 68.
ALL-TIME AGAINST LONGWOOD
Tuesday will be the 20
th all-time meeting between the Eagles and Lancers and the series has been played very close as Longwood leads 10-9. The two teams split the season series last year which accounted for the only conference win of the year for both programs.
WHAT'S UP NEXT
After spending the entire month of January with Saturday home contests, the Eagles will hit the road this Saturday for a 2 p.m. contest against the UNC Asheville Bulldogs.
