ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's basketball team returns to the Winthrop Coliseum Saturday afternoon to host the High Point Panthers at 2 p.m. as the Eagles search for their first conference victory of the season.

EAGLES AT A GLANCE
The Eagles challenged Liberty well on Tuesday but couldn't keep the Flames from making multiple big runs to pull away. For the third straight game, junior
Courtney Hagaman led the team in scoring, finishing with 14 points but she was the only Eagle in double figures.
Ronata Rogers added nine points and eight rebounds.
Since the start of conference play three games ago, Hagaman has raised her scoring average by more than two points per game and her rebounding by .5 boards per contest. Through the first three Big South contests, Rogers is averaging 7.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
High Point is currently unbeaten through three Big South matchups and sits at 9-5 overall this season. High Point snuck out a three-point victory over Garnder-Webb in the conference opener before easily downing UNC Ashevilel and Presbyterian. The Panthers are riding a five-game winning streak that dates back to mid-December.
The Panthers have four players currently averaging double digits in scoring. Kat Harris leads the team with 13.8 points per game and is followed closely by Emma Bockrath and Camryn Brown who have 12.8 and 12.4 points per game respectively this season. Bockrath also leads the team in rebounding, pulling down 7.1 boards per game.
High Point is averaging 72 points per game this season while connecting on 42 percent of its shots from the floor including 40.6 percent from three-point range which is tops in the Big South and fifth overall in Division I.
ALL-TIME AGAINST HIGH POINT
Saturday will mark the 49
th all-time meeting between the Eagles and Panthers. High Point leads the series 28-20 and has won five-straight against Winthrop. The last Eagle victory came February 10, 2015 at home as Winthrop came out on top 91-74.
WHAT'S UP NEXT
Winthrop will head towards the coast of South Carolina on Tuesday as the Eagles travel to face the Charleston Southern Buccaneers at 7 p.m.
