"I am excited to see how the first month of training has helped our team," said head coach Ben Paxton. "Duke will be a stern test for Kevin (Mills) and the men. The women have practiced great this week and could challenge for a team title."
 
WHO TO WATCH
Kevin Mills will attempt to extend his winning streak this Saturday. The junior runner was named Hero Sports National Cross Country runner of the week after his first place finish at the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C., on September 2. He will have tough competition with SE Region #11 Duke.
 
The Winthrop women will be led by sophomore Harper Henson and senior Victoria Burdette who were separated by just three seconds at the Gamecock Invitational.
 
On Saturday the Winthrop Eagles will be joined in competition by Duke, USC Upstate, The Citadel, Wofford College, Presbyterian College and SC State.
