THE GAME
- Eagles are coming off the first win of the season and looking for it's a 48th straight win over Non-D1 opponents
- The Eagles look to improve to 16-0 under Pat Kelsey against Non-D1 opponents
- Winthrop and Mars Hill meet for just the second time as the Eagles won the only meeting 96-51 on Dec. 9, 2014
- Xavier Cooks, Kellen Blake, Mitch Hill, and Freddy Poole all played in the first meeting with Mars Hill
WINTHROP
- Eagles knocked down a school record 19 threes in the win over Central Penn, breaking the old mark of 17 that was set three different times
- Freshman Kyle Zunic led the charge with a career-best 17 points as he hit all four of his threes in the first half
- Xavier Cooks is coming off his first double-double of the season and is averaging 13.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg
- Anders Broman leads the team in scoring at 14.0 ppg and Zunic is also averaging double-figures at 11.3
- Broman is an impressive 9-for-17 behind the arc in the first three games
- Winthrop is 44-7 in the last 51 home games
MARS HILL
- The Lions have nine different players with at least one start
