ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop volleyball team has earned the sixth seed in the upcoming Big South Tournament and will hit the road to face Campbell Friday evening in Radford.

SO FAR THIS SEASON
The Eagles are 2-3 under head coach Bruce Atkinson when it comes to the Big South Tournament. Junior Carlie Skelton is tenth in the Winthrop career top 10 in digs with 1,051. She has 415 digs on the season. The Eagles will go into the tournament with sophomore Sydney Gunter leading them in kills with 312 while senior Keaupono Fey is in second with 280 kills. Sophomore Siani Yamaguchi 1,153 assists on the season and is nine in the Winthrop career top 10 with 1,973 and is only 11 assists away from moving to eighth all-time.
 
SCOUTING CAMPBELL
The Camels are 3-3 at a neutral site this season. They have won four of their last five games. Allena Health leads the team in kills with 438 with Jessica Stocking right behind her with 342. Summer Schuitema leads the team in assists with 992. Kayla Schanback leads the team in digs with 472 with Schuitema right behind her with 472.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 27th meeting between Winthrop and Campbell. This is will be first match against each other in postseason history. Winthrop holds a 16-10 lead over the Camels. They both went 1-1 this season against each other with Winthrop winning at home and Campbell winning at home.
