ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop volleyball team will play their first of four games on the road Tuesday as it travels to Charleston Southern Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m.

SO FAR THIS SEASON
The Eagles are 4-5 on the road this season. They went 1-1 this past week beating Charleston Southern but falling to UNC Asheville. Junior Marion Vaucher had 35 kills last week with only nine errors while hitting a .299 percentage. Freshman Puaoolelagi Sao had 42 digs with a 5.25 digs per set last week as she has move to the libero for Winthrop. Sophomore Sydney Gunter leads the team in kills with 283 while sophomore Siani Yamaguchi has 1012 assists.    
 
SCOUTING CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
Charleston Southern is on a five game losing streak. They are 3-9 in the conference. Kylie Klein leads the team with 219 kills while Addison Kaderli is right behind her with 210 kills. Madison Martin leads the team in digs with 462 while Rachel Smith had 883 assists.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 86th meeting between Winthrop and Charleston Southern as Winthrop holds a 68-17 lead over the Buccaneers. The Eagles won the last match 3-0 on Oct. 24, 2017 at the Winthrop Coliseum.
