SCOUTING RADFORD
The Bulldogs are 1-15 on the season and have only beaten Norfolk State University 3-2. They are 0-2 in their conference as they have lost to Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman University. South Carolina State started the season 0-11 before getting its first win. Alexus Holt leads the Bulldogs with 143 kills and Jenai King lead them with assists with 322.
 
SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 19th meeting between Winthrop and South Carolina State as Winthrop holds a 17-1 lead over the Bulldogs. The Eagles won the last match 3-0.
