After going 1-1 this past weekend against Liberty and Radford, Winthrop is one game back of third place in the conference. Junior
Phoebe Wu had a season high 26 kills against Liberty this past Friday. The Eagles had their lowest amount of kills against Radford with 30. Sophomore
Siani Yamaguchi beat her all-time assists record that was 820 with 847 this past weekend.
SCOUTING LIBERTY
The Flames went 1-1 this past weekend with a loss against Winthrop 3-2 on Friday. They beat Charleston Southern to improve to 4-4 in conference play. Anna Gragg had 19 kills for Liberty for that game against Winthrop while Amaya Williams had 52. Gragg has 190 kills on the season and that leads Liberty team.
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
The Panthers are on a 10-game winning streak while being 8-0 in conference play. They have won seven straight 3-0 games. This will be Winthrop and High Point first meeting this season while this being the 54
th meeting for the two teams. Winthrop holds a 37-16 lead and won the last meeting 3-0. High Point is 7-1 this season on the road. Molly Livingston has 247 kills on the season while Abby Bottomley has 430 digs. Jenna Smith has 544 assists. High Point plays UNC Asheville on Friday before coming to Winthrop on Saturday.
