EAGLES AT A GLANCE
Sophomore Natalie Royaards scored the first hat trick for the women's soccer program since 2014 Wednesday night to propel the Eagles to a big 4-1 win over the UNC Asheville Bulldogs.  Allie Thomas picked up the team's fourth goal as both Brianna Palmer and Zoe Conover each tallied two assists.

Royaards' three goals vaulted her into second on the team this season in points with nine as Thomas continues to lead the squad with 13 points.  Ashlynn Harris picked up her second career victory Wednesday night, making seven saves.

SCOUTING HIGH POINT
High Point played its last two conference contests on the road and struggled a bit.  The Panthers fell 1-0 to UNC Asheville last Saturday and needed overtime to down Gardner-Webb 1-0 on Wednesday.  High Point is 7-7-1 overall and 4-1-1 in the Big South heading into Saturday's matchup.

The Panthers have only scored a total of 10 goals this season and have netted more than one in a game only once in 15 contests.  Four Panthers are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece.  Of the team's 10 goals this season, only three have been assisted.  Alex Hank has played the majority of minutes in goal for the Panthers, allowing just over one goal per contest and making 81 percent of her saves.

WHAT'S AT STAKE
The Eagles moved into a tie for sixth place in the conference standings with Wednesday's victory and have only three Big South games remaining.  A win Saturday wouldn't move the Eagles any higher than fifth, but it would provide some cushion for the team from falling out of the conference tournament picture going into the final week.

SERIES HISTORY
High Point owns a 9-5-4 all-time record over the Eagles and has won the last four contests, not allowing the Eagles to score a goal in the span.  Winthrop's last win against the Panthers came on the road in 2013.

COMING UP NEXT
Winthrop remains on the road for its next-to-last Big South contest when the Eagles head to Charleston, SC on Wednesday to take on the Charleston Southern Buccaneers at 4 p.m.
