ROCK HILL, SC— The Winthrop women's soccer will try to bounce back from
Saturday's setback when it travels to East Tennessee State to face the Buccaneers
Wednesday at
7 p.m. on Summers-Taylor Field.
The Eagles enter the game with a 2-3 record after losing to Georgia Southern 3-2 over the weekend. Sophomore Brianna Palmer scored both goals for the Eagles. On Tuesday she was tabbed as the Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Week.
The Eagles are 1-6 all-time against ETSU. Winthrop's only win against the Bucs came at home in 2011 in double overtime.
ETSU is 2-3 this season after losing three straight games to Tennessee, Davidson, and Marshall.
