Women’s Soccer Hosts Georgia Southern Saturday at 3 p.m.

Rock Hill, SCThe Winthrop women's soccer team will try to make it two wins in a row when the Eagles host Georgia Southern Saturday at 3 p.m. on Eagle Field in a game that was moved from Friday night due to Tropical Storm Hermine.

The Eagles enter the game with a 2-2 record after winning at home Tuesday night against South Carolina State on goals by freshmen Keeley Leising and Clara Conboy and goalkeeper Karly Gustafson's shutout.  Leising now leads the Eagles with three goals on the season. All children 13 & under wearing a soccer jersey will receive free admission to the game.
 The Eagles are 3-2 all-time against Georgia Southern. Winthrop won the last meeting at Eagle Field 3-1. Georgia Southern has a record of 1-2-1 and is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Charlotte.
