HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC--Two Winthrop May graduates received $2,000 scholarships during Thursday night's Big South Conference Hall of Fame and Awards Dinner held at the Hilton Head Marriott.
Former soccer athlete Jessica Logan and tennis player Steven Patrick, both from Knoxville, TN, received the Sunbelt Rentals Scholarship and the Bob McCloskey Insurance Graduate Fellowship, respectively.
Logan was one of four Big South student-athletes selected for a Sunbelt Rentals Scholarship. Logan is Winthrop's fifth selection for the scholarship. She plans to enroll in graduate school at UCLA. Patrick, who was one of two recipients of the McCloskey graduate fellowship, also plans to attend UCLA's medical school.
