Women’s Soccer to Face Gardner-Webb on Senior Day

ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop women's soccer team will shoot for its first Big South Conference win when the Eagles take on Gardner-Webb at 1 p.m. Saturday on Senior Day.

Winthrop is 3-9 (0-4 BSC) this season while its opponent is 7-7-2 (4-2 BSC). Winthrop is coming off a 2-0 loss at Liberty on Wednesday. GWU is coming off a 3-0 win over UNC Asheville.

The Eagles are 6-6 all-time against Gardner-Webb. The last meeting in 2015 ended in a 2-1 win for Winthrop when Lauren Watts scored the winning goal. Caroline Duncan had eight saves for the game.
 
Winthrop will recognize nine seniors during the pregame ceremony which will begin at 12:45 p.m.
