ROCK HILL, SC—The Winthrop Lady Eagles' soccer team will continue Big South Conference play when they travel to Boiling Springs, NC to face the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs at Greene-Harbison Stadium beginning at 7:00 pm.

The Lady Eagles fell to UNC Asheville 1-0 in their Big South opener this past Wednesday. This was a tough loss for Winthrop as they outshot their opponent 13-7 with seven of their shots on goal. Freshman Yasmin Loredo provided a great spark from the bench in their efforts against the Bulldogs. Goalkeeper Karly Gustafson was able to compile five saves throughout the night.
ABOUT OPPONENT
Gardner-Webb enters the match on a two game losing streak but is coming off eight days of rest since their last time on the pitch. The Runnin' Bulldogs share one common opponent on the season as Winthrop and came up with the same result, as both teams were defeated by Charlotte.
SERIES HISTORY
Winthrop trails in this series 5-6. The Lady Eagles dropped their match last year 3-0 to the Runnin' Bulldogs after winning four straight against them in the previous seasons.
