ROCK HILL, SC—The No. 8 seeded Winthrop Lady Eagles' soccer team will travel to Lynchburg, VA for a rematch against the No. 1 seed Liberty Flames in the Quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Tournament this Sunday, Nov. 1 at Osbornne Stadium beginning at 2:00 pm.

It came down to the last game of the season for Winthrop's chances to make the conference tournament. The Lady Eagles controlled their own fate; win and they were in. Winthrop clinched the post season bid by defeating Presbyterian College 1-0. It took 89 minutes for the Lady Eagles to find the back of the net but Samantha Prytulak finally drilled a late game winner to clinch the No. 8 seed in the tournament.

Liberty captured their second straight Big-South regular-season championship, Tuesday night when they defeated Longwood 1-0. The Lady Flames are 20-8-7 all-time in the Big South Championship and have captured four titles over the years. Liberty is 6-1-1 at home this season and averages 15.1 shots per game.
