ROCK HILL, SC – Volleyball closes out the road slate of their 2015 schedule this weekend as the Eagles travel to in-state conference foes Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern in two crucial Big South contests.

Winthrop played two long matches at home this past weekend, coming out on the winning side of a five-set match against Radford and falling in five sets to Liberty. Freshman setter Madilyn McCarty recorded 60 assists in both matches, a career-high and earned herself her third Big South Freshman of the Week honor.
ABOUT COASTAL CAROLINA
Coastal Carolina comes into the weekend undefeated in nine conference matches and winners of its last 10. The Chanticleers have been dominant offensively this season, averaging 13.4 kills per set and hitting .272. Lead Hardeman leads the conference with 270 kills, averaging 3.8 per set. Eszter Nagy also ranks in the top 10 in the conference in kills per set and leads the Big South with a .459 attack percentage. Sara Boothe is the team's primary setter, averaging over seven assists per set. Coastal swept the Eagles in three sets earlier this season at the Winthrop Coliseum.
ABOUT CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
The Buccaneers enter the weekend coming off a victory over Gardner-Webb last Saturday and are fighting for a spot in the conference tournament. Addison Kaderli and Meredith Parrott lead Charleston Southern offensively with 249 and 238 kills respectively. Kylie Klein ranks third in the Big South, averaging just over one block per set this season. Winthrop swept the Buccaneers earlier this season.

The Eagles return to the Winthrop Coliseum for their final four regular-season matches of the season. Winthrop hosts Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville next Friday and Saturday.
