Women’s Soccer Team Hosts Liberty this Wednesday

Winthrop Will Look to Rally Behind Victory Over Campbell

ROCK HILL, SC—The Winthrop Lady Eagles' soccer squad will look to keep the momentum rolling when they host the Liberty Flames this Wednesday, Oct. 21 at Eagle Field beginning at 6:00 pm.

LAST MATCH
The Lady Eagles are coming off a thrilling 1-0 victory over Campbell this past Saturday on Senior Day.  Emily Crick helped lift Winthrop to this triumph with her 75th minute game-winner.  This was the third clean sheet this season for the Lady Eagles and the second under goalkeeper Karly Gustafson.

 

ABOUT OPPONENT

Liberty enters the match off a 1-0 loss against Gardner-Webb.  The Flames have struggled this season on the road, holding a 2-5 record away from home. Liberty averages 14.3 shots per game allowing an average of 12.9 to their opponents.  

 

SERIES HISTORY

Winthrop leads the series 7-5-2.  The Lady Eagles dropped the match at Liberty 3-1 last season.
