ROCK HILL, SC- The Winthrop women's soccer team play its second of three straight home games this Friday night against Division II opponent Brevard on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at Eagle Field. This is the first time the two teams have met.
The Lady Eagles (0-2) are trying to snap a two game losing streak that came against talented teams, Davidson and Clemson. Winthrop is still trying to find its first goal this season and have big expectations Big South Preseason Offensive Player of the Year

Caroline Duncan have earned the last two starts making ten saves, but senior
Amelia Henderson came in for the closing minutes against Clemson to earn one save.
Brevard has yet to play this season, but finished last year 3-13-1 and did not qualify for the South Atlantic Conference tournament. Sophomore Kaitlin Burns and junior Sarah Fonger had six of the Tornados' sixteen goals last season. Brevard has four goalkeepers to choose from to replace Brittany Webster who played all 17 games last year.
Head coach Shigeyoshi Shinohara enters into his fifth season in Brevard, where he has acquired an overall record of 10-55-4.
