ROCK HILL, SC – The Winthrop volleyball team will the second seed in next week's Big South Conference Championship and will square off against No. 7 Coastal Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m. The tournament will be hosted by Charleston Southern.

This will be the third meeting between the teams as Winthrop swept the Chanticleers in the regular season. The Eagles defeated Coastal in straight sets in late September at the Winthrop Coliseum and then defeated the Chanticleers in Conway in five sets in late October. Thursday's matchup will be the 73^rd meeting between these two teams as the Eagles currently hold the advantage in the all-time series, 43-29.

All seven games of the Volleyball Tournament will be streamed live by the Big South Network. The champion will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Conference Championship is as follows:
