Kellie Sellers played well tonight,” head coach Sally Polhamus said. “She controlled the blocks and bounced back great when she had a couple plays not go her way.”

Winthrop then staged another comeback, only this time; it held the lead to take the set 25-22. The Eagles closed out the second set with 19 kills. “We're a piece or two away from where I think we need to be at,” Polhamus said. “But we battled back tonight and we're getting there.”

The Blue Hose was led offensively by Presley Mabrey with 13 kills. Defensively, Presbyterian was led by Ashely Dunlap as she finished with 16 digs.

“PC attacks from all over the court,” Polhamus said. “They're a balanced team, but we controlled them for the entire match.”

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, Nov. 13 for Homecoming as they play host to Gardner Webb. That match is set for 1 p.m. The Blue Hose will close out their regular season in North Charleston as they take on Charleston Southern on Saturday, Nov. 13 for a 6 p.m. showdown.
