CHARLOTTE, NC– Winthrop senior Kelly Manders (Potomac, Md.) and High Point freshman Curtis Brotherton (High Point, N.C.) have been named the Choice Hotels Big South Co-Men’s Golfer of the Week for events played Oct. 30-Nov. 5, it was announced by the League office.

 

Manders and Brotherton both tied for sixth at The Hummingbird Intercollegiate (par-71, 6,767 yards) with an even-par 142. Manders (73-69) had his best finish of the fall and posted his second Top 10 finish in four events this season.  His 69 on the final day was his fourth round of 69 during the fall campaign. Brotherton (72-70) was High Point’s top finisher for the third consecutive event and carded his first career under-par round with a 70 on the final day.  It was his first Top 10 finish of his young collegiate career.
