ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop junior goalkeeper Dimitra Poulos has been honored as the WPSL (Women's Premier Soccer League) Player of the Week as she led her Rush Salt Lake City team to a 2-1 win over the San Diego Sea Lions in its debut.

Poulos, a native of Woolagong, Australia, was exceptional in her first performance of the summer as she blocked a PK late in the first half which gave the newly formed Rush team all the confidence it needed going into half time.  Her Rush SLC team went on to win the game with a goal in the final minute of stoppage time.
