ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop's baseball scoreboard with its large screen video and message system is the featured showcase in a promotional brochure produced by Daktronics. 

Winthrop added the state-of-the-art baseball scoring and v ideo display at The Winthrop Ballpark last season. 

Daktronics, with corporate headquarters located in Brookings, SD, is recognized worldwide as the leading designer and manufacturer of scoring and timing systems, electronic message centers, and large screen video systems.

"The displays have certainly enhanced the overall spectator experience at our games," said Winthrop athletic director Tom Hickman.  "Daktronics' displays and technology allow us to do so much more for spectator enjoyment at our different athletic facilities."

In addition to the baseball display, Winthrop has added integrated scoring and message displays to its Terry Field softball complex, the Ike Belk Track facility as well as two tennis scoreboards at the Memorial Courts complex.  A new message board was also added on Cherry Road at the Richmond Drive intersection to keep fans up-to-date on Eagle athletic events.
