ATLANTA, GA-- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced the 2006 RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Victory Club Award Recipients on Mar. 9.

The RUSSELL ATHLETIC/WBCA Victory Club Award is presented to each WBCA member head coach who achieves career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more, in 100 victory increments.

This past season Winthrop head coach Bud Childers captured his 400th career victory on Mar. 3 as the Lady Eagles defeated High Point, 64-60, at the Winthrop Coliseum in the team's final regular season game.

The 400th victory for Childers was also the 14th victory of the season for the Lady Eagles, which set a school record for wins as a member of the NCAA Division I.
