ROCK HILL, SC--A newly designed Winthrop University Athletic Web Site that features a more streamlined and attractive appearance was launched Monday, January 9.

 

According to Jack Frost, assistant athletic director for media relations, the redesign project was completed during the 2005 fall semester through the efforts of William Harris, the university’s web master; Kamal Rai, information resource consultant; and the athletic media relations office staff.

 

The address for the Winthrop Athletic Web Site is www.winthropeagles.com.   First launched in 1997, Winthrop’s athletic web site has had more than 4 million visits.

 

“The visitors to our web site will notice an immediate improvement in the ease of navigation around the home page and the various team pages,” said Frost.  “We want our visitors to be able to find the information they are seeking with as little effort as possible.  Whether they are looking for team information and statistical data, Eagle Club membership information, on-line ticket purchases, or Winthrop merchandise, we believe visitors can quickly find what they want.”
