ROCK HILL, SC--Winthrop will be having "Team Day" at Saturday's men's and women's Big South Conference doubleheader against Coastal Carolina as all local basketball teams of any age will be admitted free, and the highly anticipated "Great American Airplane Toss" will be held at halftime of the Jan. 25 game with Charleston Southern..

Any area coach that would like to bring a team to this Saturday's games, must contact the Winthrop Sports Marketing office at 323-2129 ext. 6240 to make arrangements.  All teams that are in attendance will be recognized during the games on Saturday.

Tip-off for the Lady Eagles game is set for 2 p.m. while the men's game will start around 4 p.m.

The “Great American Paper Airplane TossEwill take place at halftime of the nationally televised game versus Charleston Southern on Tuesday, Jan. 25.  Fans will have a chance to win a 2005 Ford Focus.  This event is made possible by Clinton Family Ford. 

Winthrop has also teamed up with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at the University and in York County to offer special ticket discounts for FCA members that would like to attend the 7 p.m. game.
