Carte, who is from Hurricane, WV, was a first team All-Big South selection as well as being Freshman of The Year in the Big South. He hit .340 with 13 homers, 20 doubles, 54 RBI and swiped 9 bases while helping to lead Winthrop to the regular season conference title with a 15-4 record and a 35-22 overall slate.

	LHP Mark Romanczuk, Stanford — A first team Pac-10 selection and one of Collegiate Baseball's Freshmen National Players of The Year, Romanczuk put up some phenomenal numbers in his freshman season. He was 11-0 with a 3.49 ERA and two complete games. In 95 1/3 innings, he struck out 75 and walked 43.
	LHP Glen Perkins, Minnesota — Perkins, also a Collegiate Baseball Freshman National Player of The Year, was named a first team Big Ten selection as well as Freshman of The Year in the Big Ten. He posted a 10-2 record with 7 complete games and a 2.91 ERA. In addition, he struck out 117 batters and walked only 23. He is only the third Minnesota pitcher in history to record 100 or more strikeouts in a season.
	LHP Erik Averill, Arizona St. — Registered 8-1 record with a 3.39 ERA. He fanned 53 batters and walked only 18.
	LHP Adam Kalkhof, North Carolina — Posted a 7-1 record with a 3.97 ERA. He also fanned 59 batters with only 19 walks.
	LHP J.R. Crowel, Tulane — Named Freshman of The Year in Conference USA, Crowel recorded a 7-0 record and 2.95 ERA with two complete games. He also struck out 60 batters and walked 23.
	LHP Forrest Cory, William & Mary — Rookie of The Year in the Colonial Athletic Conference. He posted a 7-2 record and 4.57 ERA.
	LHP Steve Uhlmansiek, Wichita St. — Posted a 7-1 record and 4.42 ERA with one complete game. He also fanned 48 batters.
	LHP Ryan Kennedy, Virginia Tech. — Kennedy posted a 2.62 ERA with 37 strikeouts.
	LHP Robert Rohrbaugh, Clemson — In 19 appearances, he posted a glistening 1.71 ERA with 22 strikeouts and one save.
	LHP Jason Determann, Louisiana St. — Posted a 2.40 ERA with 4-0 record and one save. He has fanned 37 batters and walked only 6.
	RHP Michael Rogers, North Carolina St. — Rogers put together an impressive 10-1 record and 2.19 ERA with two complete games. He also fanned 81 batters and walked 26.
	RHP Justin Meier, Louisiana St. — Recorded 7-2 record with 2.70 ERA. He fanned 54 batters with 21 walks.
	RHP Michael Hyle, Georgia — Hyle had a 6-0 record with a 3.09 ERA. He struck out 15 batters.
	RHP Mike Pelfrey, Wichita St. — Pelfrey, who was a first team Missouri Valley Conference pick and Freshman of The Year in the Missouri Valley, recorded a 6-2 record with a 2.53 ERA and one complete game. He also struck out 66 batters with only 14 walks.
	RHP Ryan Martin, Illinois-Chicago — Martin, who was newcomer of the Year in the Horizon League, posted a 5-0 record with a 2.01 ERA. He also fanned 41 batters with 19 walks.
	RHP Mark Sauls, Florida St. — Sauls put together a 4-0 record and 2.66 ERA with 45 strikeouts and 15 walks.
	RHP Greg Norton, Maine — Norton, Rookie of The Year in the America East Conference, posted a 5-1 record with two complete games. He had an ERA of 3.00 with 44 strikeouts and 11 walks.
	LHP Graham Taylor, Miami (Ohio) — Named Freshman of The Year in the Mid-American Conference, Taylor posted a 6-3 record and 3.30 ERA. He also threw four complete games.
	RHP James Avery, Niagara — Avery was chosen Rookie of The Year in the Metro Atlantic Conference as he posted a 7-2 record with a 3.64 ERA. He threw 5 complete games and fanned 63 batters.
	RHP Jonathan Kohn, Southern — Named Co-Freshman of The Year in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, the 6-foot-6, 250-pound Kohn was 6-0 on the season with a 3.61 ERA. He threw two complete games and struck out 35 batters while walking 13.
	RHP John Carroll, Georgia Southern — Carroll posted a 7-2 record with a 3.75 ERA. He fanned 101 batters and walked only 20 in 89 2/3 innings.
	RHP Matt Luca, Nevada-Las Vegas — Luca was a first team Mountain West selection as he posted a 5-0 record and 4.17 ERA. He fanned 49 batters and walked 25.
	RHP Zach Ward, Gardner-Webb — Ward was 5-1 with a 4.14 ERA with two saves. He had wins over Florida Atlantic, Georgia, Central Florida, Campbell and Belmont. Recently he topped out at 96 mph four times during an American Legion game.
	LHP Taylor McIntyre, Oral Roberts — McIntyre is a second team Mid-Continent selection who posted a 7-2 record, 2.27 ERA and fanned 59 batters with 30 walks.
	RHP Abe Woody, Baylor — Registered a 6-0 record with a 3.81 ERA and two saves. He fanned 36 batters and walked 16.
	RHP Ryan LaMotta, Baylor — Posted a 7-2 record and 3.50 ERA with two saves. He fanned 58 batters and walked 32.

Relief Pitchers

	Mark Badgley, Northern Illinois — Badgley registered 14 saves to rank second in the nation and had a 3.81 ERA. He fanned 20 batters.
	Joey Devine, North Carolina St. — Devine had 13 saves and a 4-1 record along with a 1.98 ERA. He fanned 57 batters and walked only 12.
	Phil Futrick, Bucknell — A first team Patriot League selection along with Rookie of The Year pick, Futrick had 11 saves and a 2.57 ERA.
	Jensen Lewis, Vanderbilt — Lewis posted 7 saves with a 3.45 ERA. He also had 47 strikeouts and 18 walks.
	Matt Manship, Stanford — Registered 7 saves and a 3.40 ERA with 41 strikeouts.
	Patrick Overholt, Santa Clara — Overholt saved 10 games this season with a 2.25 ERA. He also had 43 strikeouts and 21 walks.
	Tim Schoeninger, Nebraska — Had 7 saves, 4-2 record and a 4.46 ERA with 28 strikeouts and only 5 walks.
	William Delage, Lamar — Was 5-0 with 3 saves and a 2.35 ERA, He fanned 31 batters and walked 12.
	Chris Mason, N.C. Greensboro — Posted 8 saves and had a 4.39 ERA with 51 strikeouts and 10 walks.

	Jeff Clement, Southern California — Clement, a Collegiate Baseball National Freshman Player of The Year, was named Freshman of The Year in the Pac-10 Conference. A first team Pac-10 choice, Clement hit 21 homers in 56 games and set an all-time Trojan freshman record for homers in a season. He hit .298 with 8 doubles and 53 RBI with a slugging percentage of .649. Clement, from Marshalltown, Iowa, gained national attention last year when he broke the national high school home run career record with 75.
	Brett Hayes, Nevada — Named Freshman of The Year in the Western Athletic Conference. He hit .365 with 8 homers and 63 RBIs.
	Nick Hundley, Arizona — An Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 selection, Hundley hit .340 with 9 doubles, 2 homers and 19 RBIs for the Wildcats. He also swiped 7 bases. He is a terrific defensive catcher as well.
	Taylor Teagarden, Texas — Teagarden was named Freshman Player of The Year in the Big 12 Conference. He hit .336 with 4 homers, 9 doubles and 27 RBI for the Longhorns.
	Andy Hunter, Minnesota — Hunter hit .350 for the Golden Gophers with 4 homers, 11 doubles and 38 RBI.

First Basemen

	Scot Simon, Northern Illinois — Simon hit .379 with 6 homers, 10 doubles and 30 RBI this season.
	Gordie Gronkowski, Jacksonville — The Freshman of The Year in the Atlantic Sun Conference hit .364 with 3 homers, 7 doubles and 34 RBIs this season. He also was a second team All-Atlantic Sun selection.
	Adam Lind, South Alabama — Lind hit .329 with 5 homers and 15 doubles this season. He also knocked in 35 runs.
	John Mayberry, Stanford — Mayberry hit .308 with 4 homers and 6 triples (27th in the nation). He also posted 33 RBI and swiped 5 bases.
	Marc Maddox, Southern Mississippi — Maddox hit .359 with 3 homers, 9 doubles and 16 RBI this season.
	Erik Lis, Evansville — Lis hit .331 with 2 homers, 10 doubles and 26 RBI. He also swiped 6 bases.

Second Basemen

	David Uribes, Pepperdine — A first team West Coast Conference selection, Uribes hit .341 with 2 homers, 11 doubles and knocked in 23 runs. He also swiped 7 bases.
	Justin Turner, Cal. St. Fullerton — Turner had a superb season for the Titans as he finished as a second team Big West Conference selection. He hit .322 with 7 doubles, 34 RBI and was 13/17 in stolen bases.
	Zak Farkes, Harvard — The Rookie of The Year in the Ivy League, Farkes hit .322 with 8 homers and 86 total bases.
	Zach McAngus, Air Force — McAngus hit .352 with 4 homers, 9 doubles and 21 RBI this season. He also swiped 5/7 bases.
	Isaac Omura, Hawaii — Omura hit .301 with 10 doubles, 2 triples and 28 RBI this season for the Rainbows.

Shortstops

	Tom Shanley, George Washington — The Rookie of The Year in the Atlantic 10 Conference as well as a second team Atlantic 10 pick, Shanley hit .404 with 47 runs scored and collected 69 hits.
	Eric Eymann, Illinois — Eyemann hit .383 with 5 homers, 12 doubles and 31 RBI this season. He also swiped 5 of 7 bases.
	Luis Rivera, Florida International — The Freshman of The Year in the Sun Belt Conference, Rivera hit .372 with 14 doubles, 39 RBI and had 9 stolen bases.
	Tyler Greene, Georgia Tech. — Greene hit .341 with 7 homers, 7 doubles and 34 RBI. On the base paths, he swiped 13 of 17 bases.
	Ryan Braun, Miami (Fla.) — Braun hit .359 with 10 homers, 9 doubles and 46 RBI. He also swiped 7 bases.
	Troy Tulowitzki, Long Beach St. — Tulowitzki was a second team Big West Conference selection as he hit 5 homers, belted 9 doubles and knocked in 43 runs.
	Ryan Crew, Texas-San Antonio — The Freshman of The Year in the Southland Conference hit .313 and was superb on defense as well.

	Stephen Head, Mississippi — The final of Collegiate Baseball's National Freshmen Players of The Year, he was also named Freshman of The Year in the Southeastern Conference and a second team SEC pick. Head posted 13 saves in 19 appearances with a glistening 1.40 ERA. He had a 4-1 overall record while he struck out 43 batters and walked 16. On offense, he was also impressive as he hit .340 with 6 homers, 10 doubles and 43 RBI.
	Micah Owings, Georgia Tech. — Owings was a first team Atlantic Coast Conference selection as well as being named Rookie of The Year in the ACC. As a pitcher, he posted a 6-2 record with a 4.45 ERA and struck out 37 batters with 14 walks. On offense, he hit .299 with 14 homers and 37 RBI.
	Brian Bogusevic, Tulane — The talented Tulane athlete hit .329 on the season with 3 homers, 10 doubles and 30 RBI. As a pitcher, he posted a 3-1 record and a 3.27 ERA with 24 strikeouts.
	Marc Wagner, U. C. Irvine — Wagner was a second team Big West pick as he hit .273 with 2 homers, 19 doubles and 31 RBI.

Designated Hitters

	Justin Klinger, Samford — Klinger was a second team Atlantic Sun pick and also made the All-Freshman team in the Atlantic Sun. He hit .328 with 6 homers, 6 doubles and knocked in 30 runs.
	Scott Simon, Northern Illinois — Simon was a second team Mid-American Conference pick after a superb freshman season.
	Ben Zeskind, Richmond — The second team Atlantic 10 pick hit .380 with 6 homers, 8 doubles and 32 RBI as well as stealing 12 bases.
