ROCK HILL, SC- Sophomore outfielder Janiva Willis was named to the 2003 Verizon Academic All-America University Division Softball All-District Second Team.

Willis, who is a physical education major, holds a 3.6 grade point average while leading her team in 10 different offensive categories this season. She led the team with a .320 batting average, 178 at-bats, 27 runs, 57 hits, nine doubles, two triples, four homeruns, 82 total bases, .461 slugging %, .373 on-base % and 16 stolen bases.

This season Willis was named to the All-Big South Conference First Team for the second straight season.
