ROCK HILL, SC - For the first time in Winthrop baseball history, all 56 regular season games plus any post-season action will be broadcast live on Channel 22 of the Comporium Cable System and on the internet from a link at www.winthropeagles.com.
Channel 22 of the Comporium Cable System reaches all Comporium cable subscribers in York, Chester and Lancaster counties. It is also available via the internet at www.winthropeagles.com.
"We are very excited that all 56 games plus post-season play will be broadcast this year," said head coach Joe Hudak. "We are particularly grateful to Comporium Communications for enabling us to simulcast every game on Channel 22. This will allow everyone in the tri-county area to keep up with the Eagles.
"We are also pleased that every game will also be broadcast on the internet. This will allow our alumni, fans, parents and recruits all over the nation and in Canada to listen to our games. This is truly a huge step for the Winthrop baseball program."
Scott Neisler and Steven Stone will call the games for the Eagles. Neisler is in his eighth season of broadcast duties, while Stone begins his second year.
"We are very happy that Scott Neisler and Steven Stone will be calling our games this year," said Hudak. "Our baseball program owes a huge debt of gratitude to Scott. He has been the driving force behind our broadcasts since 1995. His donation of equipment and time over the years has been invaluable. This current broadcast package would not be possible without his efforts."
