Octavia Goode was one of the top female track and field performers in Winthrop and Big South Conference history during her four years (2001-2004). During her career, Goode captured 11 individual Big South championships and was voted the Big South Indoor Most Valuable Performer in 2002 and 2003 and the Big South Outdoor MVP in 2003 and 2004. She captured the Big South indoor 60 meter dash four times and the outdoor 100 meter and 200 meter dashes four times. In 2004, she qualified for the NCAA Outdoor 100 meter dash and finished 17th in the nation. She also qualified for the NCAA East Regional in 2003 and 2004 in the 100 and 200 meters and as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team. She currently holds the Winthrop school record for the indoor 60 meters, and the outdoor 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100 meter relay and the 4x200 meter relay. Goode also a member of the Big South Conference record-holding 4x100 meter relay team.
