Mark Britton, a freshman from Pennsboro, WV., was named the Big South Conference Men's Outdoor Field Event Athlete of the Week after he posted a school-record mark of 50.40 meters in the discus event at the Carolina’s Cup.  His mark was good for first-place in the event.
