Andre Jones led Winthrop to a 59-45 win at Jacksonville on Dec. 15 as he scored 26 points on 9 of 15 shooting and 3 of 4 from behind the 3-point arc.  Over the past five games, Jones is averaging 21.2 points per game and for the season ranks third in the Big South Conference and 48th in the NCAA statistics as of Dec. 19.  He needs just 18 more points to become the 19th player in Winthrop men's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points.
