Jeanne Stroud set a new Winthrop school record for the women's 5K as she was clocked in 17;46 in the 2011 Big South Conference Cross Country Championships held at Coastal Carolina on Oct. 29.  Her time knocked nine seconds off the old record of 17:55 that was set by Stephanie Vangsnes in 2002.  She also equalled Vangsnes' with the best finish in school history as she placed second, just 17 seconds behind Liberty's Jennifer Klugh.
