Junior defensive specialist Carlie Skelton has been named the Big South Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by the conference office.

Skelton, from Florence, SC, had 43 digs with a 4.78 digs per set average. She also had two service aces and seven assists. On the season she has 284 digs with a 4.24 digs per set average. Skelton has 47 assists and 16 service ace on the season.
