Winthrop point guard Danyael Goodhope was named the Big South Conference Freshman of the Week for her performances against nationally ranked Baylor and Mercer.  Goodhope (Virginia Beach, VA) strung together a pair of double-figure scoring effortswith 10 points against Baylor, headlined by a perfect 6-for-6 effort from the free throw line. Against Mercer, she had a season-high 15 points and seven rebounds to pace the Eagles’ attack. On the defensive side, the guard claimed three steals in each contest and tallied a block against Mercer.
