Marthaline Cooper has the nation's top distance in the weight throw after her 21.93 meter performance on Feb. 19 at the Virginia Tech Challenge.  Cooper valuted from No. 14 to the No. 1 position as she moved past North Carolina State's Nicole Chase who was the previous leader at 21.91 meters. Cooper shattered her previous school record of 20.70 meters by four feet and is in strong position to qualify for the 2016 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 11-12, in Birmingham, AL.
