Winthrop golfer Bradley Kauffmann captured the 42nd South Carolina Amateur Match Play Championship of the Carolinas Golf Association, held recently at the Seabrook Island Club in Seabrook Island, SC. 

Kauffmann, a rising sophomore from Greer, SC, defeated stroke play qualifying medalist Brian Langley in impressive fashion by a 7 & 5 margin for his first CGA Championship. Kauffmann never lost a hole and won the 4^th hole with a par then won five holes in a row starting on No. 7,  He clinched the match with a conceded birdie on #13.
