Winthrop's Achille Obougou has been named to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's All-South Atlantic Region 3^rd Team.

Obougou tied for the team lead with 23 points as he scored a team-high 10 goals and had three assists. The senior forward scored two game-winning goals and had the first goal of the game four times. His 1.28 points per game average ranked fourth in the Big South and 33^rd nationally. He was also fourth in the league in goals per game and 24^th nationally.

This is the first Winthrop player to be named to an NSCAA All-Region team since Matthew Skonicki and Stephen Nsereko made it in 2009.

On Nov. 27, 2013 Obougou was named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-America Division I Men's Soccer Third Team. It was the third straight season Winthrop had a player named to the team.
