Winthrop sophomore midfielder Magnus Thorsson has been named to the College Soccer News and TopDrawerSoccer.com National Teams of the Week.
The 6-1 defensive midfielder out of Reykjavik, Iceland finished the week with a goal and an assist over the weekend to help guide Winthrop to victories over Mercer (2-1) and Stetson (5-1) as he was named the Most Valuable Player of the Mercer Classic.
