Isern was named the Big South Conference Tournament Most Valuable Player as he and the Eagles captured the 2012 Big South Championship on Nov. 11 with a 3-2 victory over 8th-ranked Coastal Carolina. Isern scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime on Friday in the semifinals against Radford. Then on Sunday, Isern assisted on the game-winning goal with just over a minute to play in regulation to lift the Eagles to their 5th title. Isern, who was named to the All-Big South Second Team this season, showed why he's First Team material in guiding the Eagles to the title match. He leads the team with nine goals and eight assists.
