Isern, a senior from Barcelona, Spain, posted two goals and a pair of assists to lead Winthrop to a 2-0 record last week and for his efforts was named the Big South Conference Attacking Player of the Week.  Against USC Upstate on Sept. 25, Isern scored in the 47th minute to knot the game at 1-1. 

He then assisted on the game-winner in the 86th  minute as his cross found Adam Brundle for the score.  Four days later against UNC Asheville, Isern put the Eagles on the board in the eighth minute as he collected his own rebound and found the back of the net.  In the 69th minute against the Bulldogs, Isern set up an Achille Obogou header to give the Eagles the 2-1 win.

In addition to recording a goal and an assist in both games last week, Isern has a four-game point streak and has an assist in four straight games. He is currently 5th in points per game and third in total assists in the Big South.
