Juan Pablo Boada swept the Big South Conference weekly awards this week following two victories over Wofford and Tennesssee Tech last week.
Hirokawa (Nigata, Japan) is the Big South Conference Player of the Week while Boada (La Paz, Bolivia) is the Freshman of the Week.. Hirokawa claimed both his singles and doubles points. He won both of his singles matches at the No. 3 position by scores of 6-3, 6-4 against Wofford and 6-1, 6-1 against Tennessee Tech. He posted his two doubles wins with an 8-4 win over Wofford at the No. 2 spot and an 8-7 win over Tennessee Tech at the No. 1 position.
Boada posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Tennessee Tech at the No. 4 position. In doubles he captured both his points with an 8-7 victory over Wofford and an 8-2 win over Tennessee Tech at the No. 3 slot.
The Eagles will be back in action this Friday, February 1
st, against College of Charleston at 2:30 p.m.
