CHARLOTTE, NC--Winthrop's men's tennis team claimed two singles flight championships and one doubles title as they competed this past weekend at the 49er Invitational.
Sophomore
Peter Nagovnak (Kraubath, Austria), a transfer from the University of Tennessee, won the Flight 2 Singles championship by knocking off Charlotte's Kamil Khalil (7-6 (6), 6-1). Sophomore
Dylan Comerford (Johannesburg, S. Africa) won the Flight 3 title with a win over College of Charleston's Crescente Lesser (6-4, 7-5).
Comerford and Nagovnak also teamed up to captured the Flight 1 Doubles title by defeating Jack Williams and Forrest Edwards (8-5).
